Person dies after being hit by South Western Railway train – latest – Surrey Live

A person has died after being struck by a train between Clapham Junction and London Waterloo.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called at 8.05am this morning (September 16) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics also attended, however the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to South Western Railway (SWR), some lines are currently blocked between the two stations, and services may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until midday.

Emergency services remain at the scene, along with railway response teams.
