The chain has recalled Jack’s 50 per cent Reduced Fat Salad Cream and Tesco 50 per cent Less Fat Salad Cream because of undeclared milk.
The Government’s food.gov.uk site showed that the recall was issued on September 7.
The products were recalled as they contain milk which was not mentioned on the label. The recall covers all batches of 450ml for both salad cream products with a best before June 2022.
Tesco is recalling the products from customers through relevant allergy support organisations which will tell their members about the recall.
SFC Wholesale have also recalled packs of The Original SFC Bargain Box because of undeclared milk. Again the product contains milk which is not mentioned on the label, meaning it is a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
The recall was issued on September 8. It refers to the 700g pack with all dates up to and including September 2022.
Also recalled is Boyne Valley Group’s Giovani Di Firenze Salt Mills, which have been recalled due to possible contamination with plastic pieces.
The company has recalled two types of the salt mills because they may become contaminated with pieces of plastic from the milling mechanism, and the possible presence of plastic makes the product unsafe to eat.
The food alert was issued on September 6. The products in question are the 90g backs of Giovanni Di Firenze All-Natural Pink Himalayan Salt Mill with dates up to March 31 2024, and Giovanni Di Firenze All-Natural Mediterranean Sea Salt Mill up to the same date.
Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
