Woman dies following horror smash in Rochdale – Manchester Evening News

A woman has died in hospital following a horror smash in Rochdale.

The woman, 78, and a man, 81, were in a silver Proton Savvy which hit a tree, police said.

Emergency services rushed to Kingsway Retail Park just before 1pm on Friday (September 10).

The woman was taken to hospital, where she sadly died.

McDonald’s on Kingsway was cordoned off following the incident.

An air ambulance; two rapid response vehicles; a road ambulance; and an advanced paramedic attended.

Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the crash..
