A woman has come under fire after brazenly trying to flog 10 litres of petrol for £50 on social media.
The woman posted on a community Facebook page belonging to a Stockport neighbourhood.
But it has subsequently gone viral – after her brazen attempt backfired spectacularly.
The woman tried to flog 10 litres of petrol for £50 – nearly four times what it will cost you at the pump.
She wrote: “10L e10 petrol. Collection from Romiley. £50 Ono. Cans not included but can fill up on collection.”
It comes as Labour’s shadow home secretary has said the fuel shortage at petrol stations is down to the Government’s “utter incompetence” and its “handling of Brexit”.
Nick Thomas-Symonds was asked by Times Radio if Brexit was a factor in the crisis.
He replied: “It is to do with the Government’s complete and utter incompetence.

“It is to do with the Government’s handling of Brexit and it is to do with the Government’s failure to plan over recent months. The blame lies squarely with them, it lies with no-one else.”
Army tanker drivers have been put on standby in preparation to deliver fuel in order to ease the chaos at petrol stations, the Government has announced in the face of mounting pressure.
Military drivers will get specialised training in preparation for their deployment while certain HGV licences will be extended to help tackle the issue, ministers announced on Monday.
